PMI-RSS October 2020 Chapter Meeting
What's on Your PM Radar? with Sylvie Edwards
"What's on Your PM Radar?" with Sylvie Edwards. This presentation will cover some of the key trends that are on our radar but also often at our doorstep. How do you differentiate yourself? How do you stay one step ahead? No matter how much you may already know, there is always something new to learn. The field of Project Management is constantly changing, evolving and there's only so much whitepapers and websites can teach us.
When you're at the forefront of new trends, ideas and opportunities, you give yourself a competitive advantage. By the end of our session, we hope that you will be able to position yourself for success and map out what your path should be, by paying attention to what’s on your PM radar.
Sylvie has been involved in Project Management in several industries for the past 25 years. Sylvie previously worked for a top 5 Consulting Firm, where she was in charge of projects in the IT, Banking, Health, Government and Securities sectors as well as a Manager in the Risk Management practice.
Sylvie went on to establish her own consulting practice assisting organizations in establishing processes, strategies and developing methodologies. She was instrumental in the development of methodologies for the creation of PMOs as well as for the evaluation, assessment and review of projects in peril. Sylvie also worked on the establishment of a Project Maturity model for both practitioner and organization.
Sylvie is teaching at both Durham College and the University of Toronto. She is a frequent lecturer, presenter and blogger on all things related to project management.
