Presentation: Leveraging Testing for Project Success
Sometimes it feels like Software Testing is that annoying phase that you tuck at the end project that just causes you problems and delays. It’s not though, by integrating testing throughout your project you minimize surprises, streamline your process and maximize customer satisfaction. Denis Carignan, President of PLATO Testing, knows how testing and project management can be friends, working together for smoother, painless, better project outcomes.
Denis Carignan is currently President of PLATO Testing (Professional Aboriginal Testing Organization) and Managing Director of PLATO Sask Testing Inc. Both are technology companies founded to provide leadership in addressing Canada’s technology talent shortage by creating meaningful training and careers First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people.
Denis has over 20 years’ experience in executive management with the Government of Canada and has worked extensively with Indigenous communities, organizations in Western Canada and in Atlantic Canada. Denis participated in the 2015 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference and currently serves on the conference’s board of directors as one of two Indigenous Directors. Denis holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the First Nations University in Saskatchewan and earned a bilingual English/French certification through the Government of Canada in 2007 and 2015.
Denis is a father of four and member of the Pasqua First Nation in Treaty Four (Saskatchewan).
