What If We Stop Solving Problems?

Description

Problem solving – looking for what doesn’t work and fixing it – has been widely employed for more than 80 years. At its best, problem solving focuses on yesterday’s causes to solve today’s problems. It focuses on what we don’t want as opposed to what we do want.

Much has changed over the past 80 years. As a society, we have embraced new philosophies, new technologies and new approaches to conducting business and finding innovative solutions. This interactive keynote presents the argument for moving away from problem solving and toward opportunity seeking.

Disrupting our traditional ways of thinking about problems allows us the opportunity to harness the energy of our past successes as well as our hopes for the future. This disruption pushes us outside our normal sphere of knowledge. Doing so, allows us to facilitate solutions that make an even greater difference for our organizations and our clients.
