Presentation Synopsis:

There is no magic formula or “how-to” manual for creating a new mobile company in world-record time while navigating cultural, environmental and interpersonal challenges! This is an extraordinary case study of an ambitious endeavor requiring an ambitious approach in order to achieve success. The resulting lessons learned span the science and art of Project Management both professionally and personally.

 

Scott Anderson, PgMP, P.Eng. Bio:

Scott Anderson

Scott is a proficient leader with over 15 years of experience. He has directed multi-million dollar Projects & Programs focusing on large-scale technology deployments and organizational initiatives.

His experience spans across several significant achievements including the implementation of 3G and 4G LTE wireless networks, leading the communications network build for the new Rider Stadium, standing up an ICT division, and directing all technical and commercial aspects of launching a new mobile company in The Bahamas in world record time.

Scott is currently a Program Manager with SaskTel focusing on Next Generation Emergency Services. He is also proud to have been the first certified PgMP in Saskatchewan in 2015.

Scott enjoys mentoring, motivating, leading and working with others to achieve amazing goals. Scott also believes in pursuing constant improvement, confronting new challenges and embracing new experiences.

His passions include global travel, the arts, and health & wellness. Scott’s backpacking adventures have taken him to over 25 countries. He is also a former professional musician playing clarinet with the Regina Symphony Orchestra, and a former professional actor. Scott also competes in obstacle course endurance races around the world and competed at the Spartan Race World Championships in 2014. Scott’s current focus is triathlon, having recently completed his first Half Ironman, as well as being a hybrid athlete and pursuing his certification in personal training.

Scott enjoys living life to the fullest and always shares the advice, “Don’t wait around for your life to happen to you.”

Scott’s motto is “No Limits, Always Forward”.
