PMP Certification
Information about Project Management Professional ® certification
PMP certification is the profession’s most globally recognized and respected certification credential.
To be eligible for the PMP certification, you must first meet specific education and experience requirements and agree to adhere to a code of professional conduct. The final step in becoming a PMP is passing a multiple-choice examination designed to objectively assess and measure your project management knowledge.
In addition, those who have been granted the PMP credential must demonstrate an ongoing professional commitment to the field of project management by satisfying PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements Program.
PMP Certification Exam
Once you are eligible to take the credential exam, PMI will notify you by e-mail and send you examination scheduling instructions.
The examination scheduling instructions direct you to the website for PMI's exam administration partner, Prometric, to schedule your examination date and location. At this time, Saskatchewan has testing centres located in both Regina and Saskatoon. Periodically, a Registered Education Provider will make arrangements for a paper exam date. Please talk to your REP to confirm if they offer paper based examinations.
All PMI Certification Exams Moving to Pearson VUE
In the PMI Global strategic plan, we are committed to putting customers at the forefront of our offerings. One of the first changes is to improve our certification exam-delivery experience.
Exam candidates can now schedule their exams for PMP®, PgMP®, PfMP®, PMI-PBA®, PMI-RMP® and PMI-SP® through Pearson VUE. This will provide more test locations, online proctoring for PMI-ACP® and CAPM® exams.
Key Dates:
- Testing with Pearson VUE will begin July 1, 2019.
- Testing at Prometric will end on June 30, 2019.
